The Organizing Committee for the 2005 Centennial Homecoming Reunion (the “Committee”) for past attendees of Salmon Arm schools, determined that a fitting salute to their community, and a fitting memorial for former colleagues would be a fund that will provide scholarships or bursaries in perpetuity to future generations of Salmon Arm students.
The Committee’s intent is that the Centennial Reunion Scholarship Fund (the “Fund”) be managed by the Shuswap Community Foundation and will be administered by School District No. 83.
The School District or Salmon Arm Senior Secondary School Scholarship Committee may provide annual scholarship or bursary awards to a graduate (or graduates) of Salmon Arm Senior Secondary School. The annual award is be made in the names of Former Graduates of Salmon Arm Schools—the “Centennial Reunion Award.”
Criteria: The student must be a deserving attendee of Salmon Arm schools.
