This award is in memory of former Salmon Arm Senior Secondary English teacher Vi Howard, who retired in the 1970’s. Vi and her husband Jesse were both teachers at the then Salmon Arm Senior High School and were known for their dedication, extra help after school hours, and patience.
Criteria
This award is for a graduating student who has exhibited academic excellence in English. The student must be pursuing an English Major and have demonstrated financial need. The student must be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution.
2026 Award
One scholarship of $800
